Psalm 68:4

As we were taught very specifically about singing praises and extoling, we see once again, that we are told very specifically also about rejoicing.  We see that our rejoicing must be before him.

The word of Christ is what we are to have dwell in our hearts, NOT the music.

Colossians 3:16  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

It seems that people have come to need a specific musical style and/or arrangement to get them to 'rejoice'.  Special 'orchesetrations' or a specific 'instrumentations' are being written to "aid and attract" in our rejoicing, but we must to be wary that we don't rejoice BECAUSE of the music; we should instead rejoice WITH the music.

And our rejoicing must come FROM HIM because of all those wonderful and marvelous doings, etc. that would cause us to rejoice.  Anything else would just be of the world, the flesh and the devil!  Matthew 6:24  No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
